NORTH EVIA ISLAND, GREECE
Anandamaya
Lying on the hilltop of an amphitheatric, tiny, fishing village over the northern shore of Evia island, Anandamaya is a holistic wellness resort fully immersed in slow & conscious living. Breathtaking views of the Aegean infinite blue, deep pine forests and olive groves compose the ideal scenery for your Greek yoga retreat.
Slow living & Barefoot luxury
Anandamaya is rooted in slow living—a conscious shift away from urgency and excess. You wake with the light, move with the rhythm of the sea, and rediscover the quiet joy of simply being. Barefoot luxury at Anandamaya is not about indulgence, but about presence—sun-warmed skin, homegrown food, meaningful connection, and space to breathe.
Our approach to barefoot luxury is simple and honest: comfort without excess, beauty without pretense, and a deep connection to nature, self, and community. A gentle invitation to walk barefoot, in every sense, and return to a more natural, grounded way of living.

This is a wonderful retreat center. The space was exceptionally clean and located walking distance from the beach, with a bird's eye view of the town below. The house dog, Naomi, was everyone's favorite, and the hosts were the most gracious and caring family I've ever met. Kons was an excellent guide, showing us such beautiful parts of the island that we wouldn't have found otherwise. The waterfall hike was my favorite! And his mother cooked us wonderful meals served with love. I would be happy to return here one day.

Excellent in every aspect!
My entire stay at Anandamaya exceeded my expectations.
Great place close to the beach, extremely friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate with any and all requests. Everything was first class including the accommodation, activities and local food.
I’d go back again for that breathtaking sunrise over the sea view from the yoga room…
