Anandamaya is 3 hours away from Athens and reachable by both ferry and a bridge.

THE WEATHER

Greece enjoys all four seasons, with warm summers and mild winters. Spring and autumn in Asmini are pleasant, with bright sunshine and occasional rainfall.

Summer temperatures average around 30°C, whereas winters average 8°C

The official language of Greece is Greek, and english is widely spoken throughout the country.

The euro is Greece's unit of currency.

Greece is on Eastern European Time (EET), two hours ahead of  Greenwich Mean Time (+2 GMT)

  • By Bus: There is a daily bus at 6:45am (high season) and 8:45am (low season) directly to the village. The cost is €20 and it includes a fun ferry crossing

WHAT TO PACK

  • Light clothing and a sweater or jacket for early mornings and evenings

  • While you visit in October, November, April and May, bring some extra clothing layers

 

  • Legs, shoulders and upper arms need to be covered when visiting places of worship

 

  • Beachwear, flip-flops and sunscreen

 

  • Hiking boots, back pack, flask

 

  • Plug adapters if needed​​​

VISAS

Please check with your nearest Greek embassy or consulate prior to travel. No visas are required for citizens of European Union countries, Canada, Australia, Japan and the US. Visas are required for all other nationalities
